Mid-Market Distribution & Fulfillment Plant (SAP/WMS), Publishing Services · Project 2 of 3 (September 2016 – June 2018)
Client Challenge
Massive Amazon chargebacks; reconciliation of invoice payments, credits, and chargebacks ran across more than 18 Access databases, more than 60 Excel workbooks, and dozens of paper documents
No single point of truth — every reconciliation was a manual data-processing exercise
Client Solution
Future-State Think Tank: Orchestrated team design sessions with the users who owned the Access sprawl — current- and future-state conceptual data mapping and data-model standardization
Platform Architecture: Multi-tenant Tenant App core (tenants, user profiles, roles, configurable statused workflow, rules/heuristics processing engine, case management for disputes, activity logging) plus the Recon App add-on — dashboards, research and resolution pages, on-demand data-warehouse queries, case review and approval
Integration: Auto-generation of A/R and G/L transactions into the client’s order/invoice/A/R/G/L system, with an SAP S/4HANA future state mapped
Design Fundamentals: Atomic single-point-of-truth data, reusable components, two-click navigation, rule-based automation of repetitive tasks
Client Impact Results
Estimated elimination of over 90% of manual data processing and a potential ~$1M OpEx reduction
Replaced 18+ disparate Access databases, 60+ Excel workbooks, and dozens of paper-based documents
Client Technologies
Oracle Database; Oracle APEX 5.1; PL/SQL and SQL; Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS); Oracle Data Integrator (ETL); Simple Oracle Document Access (SODA)
Multi-tenant Tenant App + Recon App architecture
