Scheduling and execution of the critical slitter work centers ran on a complex Excel spreadsheet; the item master was another Excel workbook
Master data that Dynamics GP lacked — slit sub-component SKUs, multi-level BOMs, UOM schedules — did not exist anywhere
Client Solution
Build: Designed and developed ORDO on Oracle Database 12c / APEX 18.2 / ORDS on a hosted cloud service (Dev/Test and Production environments)
Master Data Generation: Auto-generated slit sub-component SKUs with an invented naming schema, three-level BOMs (finished goods → slit sub-components → finished rolls → raw-material rolls), UOM conversion schedules, and a work-order status lifecycle
Integration: One-way integration from Dynamics GP 2013 — item master and active lot-controlled inventory polled every 10 minutes via SQL Server staging and Oracle merge procedures
Output: APEX Office Print for work orders, labels, pick lists, and shortage reports; late-order dashboard by customer, days late, and priority
Adoption: Migrated users off legacy tools; trained the workforce; SLA-based hosting and support offer at close
